Preeti's Pyrography

Preeti Saldanha has been honing her skills in pyrography, or wood burning, since 2020. What began as a pandemic project has blossomed into a business that includes commissioned pieces. Each unique design takes over 20 hours to complete, using a soldering iron and torch. Preeti draws inspiration from photographs and other works of art. The process begins with sanding the wood until it's smooth, followed by sketching the design, and finally, carefully burning the image into the wood. Though it requires patience, seeing the artwork come to life is incredibly rewarding. All of her pieces are created on a commission basis.
